Tarran Mackenzie opened his World Supersport Championship account with 5th place in race 1
Kimura rider Tarran Mackenzie opened his World Supersport Championship account with a fine 5th place in race 1 at the Philip Island circuit near Melbourne, Australia on 25th February.
His development Petronas MEI MS Racing Honda CBR600RR qualified in 19th position and in the race which was red flagged twice due to rain before both starts Mackenzie fought his way through the pack to finish in a strong 5th position and scoring 11 World Championship points.

In race 2 the next day Mackenzie ran in a dry race where the more developed bikes were able to pull away, Mackenzie finished in 16th position but leaves Philip Island 10th in the championship on 11 points.
Next round at the Mandalika Circuit in Indonesia 3rd to 5th March.
