Tarran Mackenzie to Make World Super Bike Championship Debut
Tarran Mackenzie who is the British superbike reigning champion will be making his world superbike championship debut at his local track in Donnington Park this weekend.
After Mackenzie’s title winning season, where he achieved 10 wins in 33 races (19 podiums), he suffered a broken ankle after his accident in Pre season testing at Silverstone.
Consequently, this meant he was ruled out for his originally planned wildcard appearance earlier in the season.
Despite this, Mackenzie will be racing for the McAMS Yamaha team, the same team that guided him to his BSB title.
The bike he is racing with is the WSBK version of the Yamaha R1.
This has a slightly different mechanical setup to his title winning bike, but Tarran is a talented rider, who will adapt as he is looking to have a successful debut.
The Kimura Performance Team wish him all the best!
