Caitlin Wood

Kimura Performance Partnership

Case Study

Brief Overview

Having seen the work we have done with her compatriot, Patrick Heuzenroeder, Australian racing driver Caitlin Wood approached us to unlock sponsorship opportunities and build her brand via mainstream, digital, and social media.

Outcome

Caitlin is the only woman competing in this season’s Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, and her car is instantly recognisable to fans around the world. The livery of her Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport is pink, thanks to a standout partnership with Mattel – makers of the iconic Barbie dolls – to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Barbie’s debut at the New York Toy Fair in 1959.

As part of a ground-breaking partnership, Caitlin – a Barbie Sports Ambassador – invites girls to each of her race weekends this season, and visits schools, colleges, or universities every month to promote careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

The Results

A pre-season filming and media day in our City of London offices includes interviews with leading motorsport and Australian publications. Caitlin’s season began at Snetterton at the end of May, and our team was on-site to capture and post content, generate race reports, and distribute media materials.
