Tarran Mackenzie Races at WorldSBK Donington Park 17th July
Tarran Mackenzie and the McAMS Yamaha team closed their debut in the Superbike World Championship with more points and promise on Sunday at Donington Park.
He was sat in 12th Place, behind the back of Xavi Vierge with only four laps to go, but had trouble to overtake.
This led to Mackenzie accidentally going into the back of his rival, crashing out.
After a strong start, Mackenzie dropped a few places during the opening laps, before fighting back through to 15th.
Lucas Mahias was up three seconds. He was trailing behind Lucas Mahias at the end of the race, but couldn’t quite make the move on time.
Crossing the line 15th, Mackenzie brought home more points, ending an amazing debut World Superbike weekend.
They now turn their attention to the day job, with the fifth round of the 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship getting underway at Brands Hatch on Friday.
